Course Guide

Hole 1

Drover’s Road

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 13 / 9
- 330Y
- 310Y
- 320Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 1st hole is a left to right dog leg. The two small bunkers on the left of the fairway provide an ideal target, pick a club to lay up just short of these bunkers to leave a short iron to the green.

It is easy to get out of position from the second shot with a bunker left and a large tree right, the safe play is front right of the green.

Hole 2

Tinkler’s Howff

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 11 / 7
- 321Y
- 305Y
- 301Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 2nd hole is a dog leg right, with out of bounds right and short left.

There is more room left than it appears from the tee and the left hand side of the fairway offers the best line into the green.

Pick a club to clear the dip in the fairway to ensure a good flat lie, leaving a short iron to the green and a birdie chance.

Hole 3

Sunnyside

Par - 4 / 5 SI - 1 / 3
- 436Y
- 422Y
- 374Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 3rd hole is a long testing uphill par 4, one for the long hitters. If you can carry the ball to the flat area beyond the large tree on the right you have a chance for going for the green in regulation.

For the majority of players the burn in front of the green makes a three shot strategy to the green the only option.

Hole 4

Windyhill

Par - 3 / 3 SI - 9 / 11
- 210Y
- 198Y
- 197Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 4th hole is a strong uphill par 3. It is best to favour the left side of the fairway as the ball kicks right on landing. It is also worth taking one more club than normal to allow for the change in elevation.

Hole 5

Crosshill

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 3 / 5
- 427Y
- 421Y
- 338Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 5th hole is a long par 4 with a blind tee shot. The green is guarded by two bunkers so favour the left centre of the fairway for the best approach to the green.

Hole 6

Dam End

Par - 3 / 3 SI - 17 / 17
- 148Y
- 124Y
- 109Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 6th hole is a stiff test for a par 3, with the green surrounded by bunkers and out of bounds on the right.

Hole 7

The Firs

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 15 / 13
- 323Y
- 303Y
- 279Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 7th hole is a straightforward short par 4, with a long but narrow green making a tricky second shot.

Hole 8

Broom Knowe

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 5 / 1
- 404Y
- 389Y
- 376Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 8th hole is a long par 4 with a burn running along the right hand side. After your drive, you then cross the burn to the green set in a tree lined horse shoe.

Hole 9

Burnside

Par - 4 / 5 SI - 7 / 15
- 407Y
- 403Y
- 394Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 9th hole has a narrow fairway with trees lining the left hand side and a burn running the full length of the right hand side of the fairway. A good drive still leaves a testing second to a green guarded by a bunker front left and back left, along with a burn to the right.

Hole 10

Kilduthie

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 4 / 10
- 380Y
- 361Y
- 299Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 10th hole has the most strongly sloping green on the course.

This makes approach shots a little easier but take care and try to stay below the hole as you could be left with a tricky putt from above the hole.

Hole 11

The Burn

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 14 / 14
- 273Y
- 262Y
- 242Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 11th hole is an interesting short par 4 with burn crossing directly in front of the green.

The best line to take from the tee is to aim at the bridge at the 12th tee as this will give a clear shot looking down the full length of the green.

Hole 12

Kilbagie

Par - 3 / 3 SI - 16 / 16
- 165Y
- 154Y
- 143Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 12th hole is a tricky par 3 with the natural camber kicking any tee shot landing right of the green towards the out of bounds fence.

The safe play is to play for the front left portion of the green as this provides a reasonably large flat landing area.

Hole 13

Dalquhamie

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 6 / 8
- 365Y
- 333Y
- 324Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 13th is a dog left with 2 bunkers right to catch your drive along with out of bounds running the full length of the right hand side of the hole. The green is guarded by 4 bunkers and with an uphill approach, make sure you take enough club to reach the green. Good par 4.

Hole 14

Muckle Clure

Par - 5 / 8 SI - 8 / 2
- 507Y
- 470Y
- 437Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 14th is the only par five (for men) on the course. The carry from the medal tee can prove challenging for some, however, an ideal birdie chance for the long hitters.

Hole 15

Roundal

Par - 3 / 3 SI - 12 / 12
- 177Y
- 158Y
- 147Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 15th is an uphill par 3 to a green guarded by a deep bunker right and a bunker left running the full length of the green. Trees line both sides of the approach. Difficult hole especially if the wind against.

Hole 16

Road Yett

Par - 4 / 5 SI - 2 / 6
- 447Y
- 396Y
- 387Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 16th is the signature hole where par is a great score at any time. Normally playing into the prevailing wind, the 16th is visually pleasing but a challenging driving hole especially from the gents medal tee.

Even after the perfect drive the test is far from over, with a ditch short, ponds to the left of a green which is normally firm, making the second shot a test for any player.

Hole 17

Davie’s Green

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 10 / 4
- 330Y
- 328Y
- 303Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 17th hole is a tight driving hole with out of bounds both left and right of the fairway. The fairway dips before the green, giving you the option of flying your approach all the way or attempting a “bump and run” to a green sloping from back to front.

Hole 18

Hoolet’s Hame

Par - 4 / 4 SI - 18 / 18
- 350Y
- 341Y
- 293Y
Tip

Tulliallan Golf Club’s 18th hole favours a drive to the right half of the fairway as anything in the trees left makes reaching the green difficult.

Take care to select the right club for your approach as the out of bounds line is only a handful of yards from the back of the green.
